3.5 Swap, EGR, and Pilot Bearing?

I am in the process of getting a 3.5 ready for my 4th gen, I need some pointers with everyone has been doing with the egr system, I figured I'd try and use it, then i realized that theres no way to bolt it up, and no way to get exhaust back to the intake manifold. So for now i am just leaving it off but how is everyone doing this?? Also i believe the 3.5 engine was an automatic, I had an extra pilot bearing in my garage, and i didnt see one in there so I went to go put it in, bent the crap out of it before i realized that theres some sort of solid bearing thing on the end of the crank, sitting flush with everything. I am assuming this was something that the torque converter was using. Has anyone else run into that issue? I dont think I really even need a pilot bearing in there after looking at the input shaft it doesnt even seem like it would support it whatsoever. Any advise is appreicated here, thanks

If you get a 02-03 Maxima 3.5 motor, no it wont have EGR. If you get an 04+ Maxima 3.5 motor, THAT one comes with EGR, if you wish to use one.

No you do not need a pilot bearing. Many hear, including myself, dont bother to replace it, or even reisntall it for that matter, and we have no problems at all. Others will say to do it just becasue nissan had it there. Doesnt matter really, which ever works.
