Hey everybody!
I just bought a 2000 GXE and really love the car. I beat a mid 90's SHO getting onto the highway, my girlfriend can't understand why I'm still smiling. I'm getting a bra for the car and would appreciate any suggestions on how to try to keep the paint in "good" shape. I'm getting the nicks touched up soon. Thanks

Some tips coming from a person with a dark colored car too
1) Never put the bra on a dirty car
2) Try to garage your car
3) Keep a good coat of wax on it
4) Always hand wash, never drive thru
5) Don't use a sponge when washing, only a high quality wash mitt
6) Keep a good coat of wax on it
7) Make sure you use Car wash soap, not dish soap
8) Did i mention keep a good coat of wax on it?
9) Dont let anything rub on the car's surface except the wash mitt and the chamois-any little particle can scratch the paint
It may seem like a lot, but it works for me...more than one year later, my grey lustre max has almost NO swirl marks. Good luck, and check out the Sticky thread on cleaning your max!!

Greg: My app to join SMC has been submitted and I'm aiming for #777. We'll be somewhat related.
