Brake upgrade time

I have two questions for the org members:

1 right now im running stock brakes and suspension but i hate 50lb wheels and tires, when i press hard on the break my abs kicks in pretty early, too early it seems for me. wondering why this might be

2 what is the advantage of getting slotted or drilled rotors besides letting out brake dust and gas. Is there a noticable difference between solid and slotted. [looking at putting on brembo rotors and hawk pads]

thanks for the help

Good pads will help a little but IMHO not enough with those heavy rims. My Lowenhart LH5's are 28lbs each so I know the feeling. Go with a BBK. Slotting and drilling are "essentially" cosmetic for the most part. Search for further info...
