I just got my intake, I installed it, drove the car, took off the 1st time okay, 2nd 3rd ok, but after the 4th, its losing lots of power, It accels hard to about 3500 then it like the computer all of a sudden cuts off the fuel, or something, it starts slowing down with it floored. I am like what the heck. So I got back home, pulled the neg cable off the battery, and pulled the maf out, found out the maf sensor had red oil on it from the filter, crap! So I got some carb cleaner, and sprayed it on it, and it cleaned it. You think the car is okay?

I planb on driving it again in about 10pm central, that would be 2 hrs from the time i unplugged it, you think the car wil be fine? You think I should spray the filter out to get the access oil out of it?

Just drove car again, and she is alive! Drove it 20 miles to make sure. It was getting stronger and stronger the longer I drove it. So it defintely is working now and the maf oil issue was the problem!

I think the problem stemmed from an overoiled filter. What most people don't know is that all you need to do is spray the filter with just enough oil to wet it, but not get it soaking wet. New filters come preoiled, but that doesn't mean that some are not overoiled.

Let it dry for about 12 hours.
