I'm in the process of picking up this engine: (http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=487455) this weekend, and well its obvious its not the complete motor. What am I missing? What do I need to do complete my 3.5swap, and how much am I looking at spending roughly on the remaining 3.5 parts?

Any links... sites where I can find the parts would be great.

I'm still trying to find the .org member who is selling an upper IM, I saw it on someones sig. recently. also try pm'ing meximax or one of the other guys who has a z33 manifold, maybe they have there a33b IM lying around still. You will need upper & lower intake manifolds (preferably with all the vias stuff on it), injectors w/3.5 or de-k connectors, fuel rail, coil-packs, a throttle body (forget the pathy one, you'll need an adaptor, just try to find a dbw one and modify it). And like I was saying in the other thread, you'll need to take car of the holes where the cam sensors were. Ummm, I might be forgetting something, but I think that's everything.

 

honestly, i wouldn't buy it because you will be looking at about maybe $500-700 more in parts. just go to car-parts.com and you will find a more complete motor.

 

Well for $300 bucks... its not that bad.. .I think I might buy another engine I found for $400...(so I'll have two engines, well sort of) fingers crossed... I'm not gonna rush this swap... I just want to acquire all the neccessary parts, and all the extra performance stuff too. We have 4 vq30 engines laying around.. so it wont be any down time for the swap. The only down time I have right now is waiting on my new axles from Raxles.com and my radiator, once I get both parts in... in goes the engine.
