Why do I have to mash my fob...

to open my doors, or unlock the trunk, anything, i have to press for so long or many many many times (sometimes pressing over and over for like 30 seconds) just for it to do its job. it does not matter if it has a brand new battery or not. is there a sensor somewhere or a ground that i can clean or anything to get better 'signal'? not sure how the system is configured. maybe the actual fob is just worn out?

my trunk works all time without ever giving me issues. the doors however i find myslef rolling windows down more times then opening all doors. unlocking drivers is easy but all doors are not. I had a brand new battery in it as well. tried 2 sets of remotes same thing. i learned to live with it. most the time if it takes that long i'll just go in and hit the master switch to do it.

trunk works like a charm. dont really care for panic. lock works solid.

yes, the trunk works more than anything. but locking is a biotch...come to think of it, it was doing the same thing with my 96 max. maybe its something inside of the remote?

i dunno about stock, but my autopage security sensitivity had to be increased because it was not receiving the signal.

I find the trunk and the lock functions work best when I just hold the button down for a few seconds instead of pressing over and over again.
Unlock...well, obviously if I dont want the windows down, that doeasnt work too well.

Might need a new FOB. You should buy a new one. If it doesn't work I'll buy it off of you for a second FOB lol.

There's a TSB out for this, I believe it's just replacing the keyless entry module with an upgraded module. I can't remember, but I know it's in AllData.
