Couple Videos and lots of pics of the car ....

Well I think i am done now w/ the outside ... only interior and major engine work....

These short vids were done so people can here the fujita/magnaflow combo i have... FIRST VIDS i have ever posted ...It sounds preety mean im not gonna lie...

http://video.tinypic.com/player.php?v=4ub02rs

http://video.tinypic.com/player.php?v=6fg31tz

I just lowered it w/ H&R 's which dont drop it a lot ... but sure does make a great difference in handling ... It also makes the car look even all around...I love it ... If it was any lower i would have to drive it like a lowered civic... going slow.. watching for bumps in road... going sideways out of driveways.... etc...

These pics also include the new BLACK GRILL and BLACK PERARL EMBLEM that i got from "2llet4u"... THANKS AGAIN FOR THAT BUDDY!!!!

i like it but i still got a few pointers bro.

1) 07 Spoiler or G35 Spoiler (Personally, I'd put the 07 Spoiler on it)
2) I like how you smoked the corner lights, that looks nice
3) Rims in my opinion are small, your car has potential - see if in the future if you could upgrade to 20's (Something I'd do)
4) I'm not feelin' the black grille but it's getting there, i just think it's missing something, maybe slight "contrast"
5) I love the smoke emblem, good job !
6) See if you can get the active tuning S4 Grille, that'd look nice.

Nice Ride, Good Luck !

p.s: i don't think it's lowered right? if not, then u surely have to lower it and i think u are in the process if i remember correctly - if it is then nevermind, i'm seeing things lol

I like my lip... not a spoilder person .. the o7's are HUGE!
I dont like rims over 19's... Im more for performance than looks... BiG RiMs will for sure slow you down...
Contrast ??? ReallY ??? I though that the smoke emblem brough some contrast ? Black/Smoke ?
I LOVE the s4.1 grill ... But i wanted to try this way first and see how it looked... IM SURE i can sell this one to someone on teh org later down the line, use that money towards an s4.1

THANKS FOR YOU COMMENTS!!! I Respect and undestand all of your suggestions ...

oh alright, that's understandable.

those are 18's right? if so, i can understand where your coming from if performance is what you're looking for.

when i mean contrast, i do know you got the smoke emblem - i just think, it's too much black. maybe if you paint the teeth "smoke" - i don't know lol, if you like it then that's all that matters at the end of the day but it's always good to know what other people's opinions are

maybe if i see it in the person, i just might like it but for sure the smoke emblem looks hot.

gluck and good day to you, sir

p.s: I'm glad you do respect and understand all of my suggestions, atleast someone's mature around here :P

OH PS it is lowered... its w/ H&R springs... it doesnt lower it much... around an inch ... in front.... rears are a lot... but i used a spacer setup for the rear to keep it preety much the way it was... i wanted it to be equal gaps front and rear...

I didnt want to slam it because drive and park at and around a lot of places w/ huge bumps and big diveways... i ddint want to have to drive all funky and slow etc..

I think it would look better with the right sized rubber. So, you dropped the rear and put in spacers so it wouldn't drop lower...? Wow...

I would also paint the insides of the emblem to match the rest of the grille, and be carefull not to trip over the tailpipes...

right sized rubber??? u mean 245/45/18 all around????

I really dont see what the big deal ... they are 265 in rear and 245 in front... thats not THAT BIG of a difference... but ok...

Yes i put spacers in back to keep it the same because i wanted teh front to be the SAME distance gap as the rear... I think it looks cleaner than having the rear slammed and my fronts the way they are ....

As for tripping over the tips... i assume u are saying becareful not to back into them at curbs etc...

THIS IS THE REASON I didnt go w/ a different spings... PROGRESS srpings would have slammed it and then those tips would be in danger.. but where i live ... i have looked and this height is perfect... dont have to drive w/ LOTS OF CAUTION.....just a little bit... just like my "Little bit" lowering job ... hahaha sound like 50 cent... "not a lot baby girl...just a little bit"

No, I mean 45's > 40's. Thats almost an inch in height.

From the pics you posted it looks like the mufflers stick out quite a bit, hence the don't "trip" over them.

Did you get the other front fender fixed? How's the paint match?

o i see... ok i lll be careful not to trip over them

They are 245/45/18's?????? the rears are 265/40/18... I take it you think they should all be 45's all around... I was giving one of the rear tires by my fatehr who owns a g35 coupe... he gave me a 265/40/18... I saved some money because he gave me a tire... but still had to get anohter tire... this is y i got 265/40/18 in rear...

Lookin' good. The ride quality is superb and it is indeed lowered a inch in the front and raised .5 inches in the rear.

As I said before--"this is a great setup for leveling & lowering while maintaining factory ride quality and much improved handling".

The wheels look nice (lots better than factory) but black wheels with a steel lip are always going to give the illusion of a smaller wheel. The spokes only go part way out to the outer part of the wheel as opposed to going all the way out. This is what causes the illusion. Check out Chernmax's wheels. They are all black but look bigger because the spokes go out to the outer edge of the wheel. Also regarding nismo 19's. To me they look smaller than a 19 inch wheel (more like a 18). Once again because of the spoke design.

Personally, I believe painted 5 spoke 18 inch wheels with spokes going to the outer edge would enhance the car quite a bit. I had similar wheels before on my car and that's why I switched them out.

Bottom line-it's all you bro. You love 'em. Enuff said!

Man, your car has a ton of potential, but imho - of course -, those wheels are too small for a car as nice as yours - even after you lowered it.

It seems you still have a gap that is as big as the gap in my beamer SUV....

As some1 previously suggested, I would go up to 20's right away.....

and as i posted.. i am going for mostly performance... w/ 20's it would FOR SURE slow me down...w hicch is not the way i am going for...

the gap is not huge.. its an inch maybe a little more smaller than stock... i didnt want to go any lower because of the bump and dirveways i deal w/ in my everyday drving..

Why is everyone saying that 20's depletes performance?
I think it's opposite.
W 20's you get more handling and the car feels crispier... what am I missing?

I hear ya.
I drove Rick's (2leet4u) and Ron's car (4kiddl) which both have 20 inch wheels and did not feel a big drop off in acceleration. With Rick's car it even braked better than mine do to his brake upgrades. Handling is definetly improved with 35 profile (less sidewall) tires. Looks great. Kinda wished I had gone with 20's. There is no question you take a small hit on acceleration and braking but there are as many upsides to 20's as well.

20's allow your car to hug the ground better. Weight and width comes into play. Plus getting the right tire tread helps too.

There are a few reasons why smaller wheels will increase performance. The rubber that is taking up the space the rim used to be in (that 1" of diameter) will weigh a few pounds less. Not only is the weight decreaed but you also reduce the rotational mass (unsprung force) that the engine needs to get spinning. Larger rims have more inertia because the rotating mass is further from the center of the tire. More hp is wasted just to overcome the tires increased inertia
But bigger wheels do look better!!!!!

I think it's looking good.

Question on lowering though. You have HR in front, they why not just leave the stock springs in back vs HR(too much rear drop + a spacer?). Or probably best of both worlds and the most expensive, HR in front and Progress or Eibach in the back.

Because of different spring rates. It handles better with H&R springs in both the front and rear (rear with spacer to level) than with stock springs.
Also, with spacers in combination with rear H&R springs you end up with another 1/2 inch of rear end height over stock which further levels the car.

Spring rates are defined as how many pounds it takes for the vehicle to drop a inch. For instance, if the spring has a spring rate of 500lbs, then with 500lbs of weight it will go down 1 inch. The front & rear springs are designed to work together having spring rates that compliment each other. Spacers (over or under) do not change spring rates. Spacers in between springs do however raise the spring rates. That's why over or under are the prefered method. Now if you want to raise your spring rates (stiffen) while raising your ride heigth, then in between spacers are the way to go.

Regarding progressive springs (not the company)...Progressive springs are designed to have a non-linear spring rate meaning the spring rate changes with compression. For instance, the first inch might be 500lbs then the next inch might be 550lbs so on and so forth.

Yeah but Coolmax didn't you do some sort of setup with just springs in the front and RSB in the back or something similar?

So do you know the load rates for the stock rears vs HR front and rears?
