i just pumped the tires up to the recommended cold tire psi and now i can feel every bump on the road! it used to be 4-5 psi lower for front and rear and the ride was a lot smoother and quieter. life's unfair!!

Remember what happened to those Explorers when Ford recommended a lower tire pressure than what was supposed to be there.....

<edit...realized that you did inflate to recommended, sorry, its late >

let some air out - unless you had it ridiculously low in the first place. by the way - are you going by the placard on the door or the max tire pressure on the sidewall?

running lower psi could be a little dangerous.... I have mine pumped a few psi above what it says.

You better not buy any lower profile aftermarket wheel/tire package if you feel the stocker are too stiff.

i'm using the psi that's under the arm rest...33/30 (front/rear). the stock tires are Toyo w/ max psi of 35. i noticed that some maximas are sold with other tires than Toyo.

For all of you w/ Plus-Sized Rims....

A word of caution:

If you stepped up to larger wheels...
and consequently lower profile tires...
do NOT use the factory reccomended pressure...
unless you wanna BEND those pretty, expensive wheels...

To protect your investment:

Set the pressure to 5 psi less than Maximum Pressure.
For those who failed Math 101...

Lets say your maximum pressure is 44psi...
you set it at 39psi...

Follow this advice & avoid those pesky potholes!!
