Depending on how strong your engine is. How light you are, what options you have. You will run from low 8s to mid 7s stock.

According to Motor Trend,

A 96 Infiniti I30T{same as a Max} did 0-60 in 7.7 seconds.So that number should be about the same for a 95 Max,maybe 7.6 because a maxima is a liitle lighter.

Well they rate 98 Accord EX's (friend has one) at 7.8 seconds, and my friend has a 97 GLE Auto and I've driven both of them. The Accord has 40K miles and the Max has 70K and the max feels A LOT faster, but who knows Integra GSR's feel a lot faster than Civic SI's, but SI's aren't more than a couple tenths slower?

I'd have to say around 7.5. You must also take into account altitude, which, believe it or not, plays a big role in your cars performance. When I was living in Colorado, my car felt as if it were struggling to get air, then I moved to Washington state and now it has no trouble at all accelerating.

With a good launch around 7.4-8.0sec here are 1/4 times for 95-99 maximas.

according to the little 0-60 calculators:
3.2 seconds on slicks
3.4 seconds on factory tires

that's without spray

I guess just a little improvement

The Accord's 200 HP V6 is weaksauce compared to a 190HP VQ because the Honda has no torque.

Do not buy a 98-02 Accord V6 unless you're heavily into show and don't care much about go.

mag racing.

In the past 3 years that I have been surfing the Accord V6 forums, do you know how many people have actually been able to match the mag times and run 15.8's @ 88-89 mph stock? nada The best those cars will do stock is about a 16.1 @ 86-87. The only guys that ever get 15.8's usually have a mod or two done (intake, better plugs, etc).

The best we can figure is that Honda loaded their press fleet with ringers that had better timing maps.

Stevetec is pretty much against the 98-02 Accord V6. He is pretty much the only X Accord owner that complains about it.

I did own a 2001 Accord V6 and did run my friend in his 97 Maxima Auto. Stock for stock he would take me out of the hole but my front fender was at his door and then I would pass him at about 75mph and he would be at my back fender by 85mph. Its a drivers race and it could go either way. Both cars are so close in specs but the 5spd Max would have a huge advantage.

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigght.

I'm the "only" one complaining.

Last year after the whole tranny fiasco surfaced, people were dumping and trading the car in droves because Honda pretty much admitted that the transmissions were dooomed to fail and their only consellation prize was an extended warranty. And the rebuilt ones they put in fail just as quickly. The people that are left now that still have some hope are losing hope because the cam swap hoping to fix the total lack of low-end isn't working out because there are more issues STILL via the all-motor route. Timing and ECU issues holding the CL-S cams back.

The only guys really having any fun with the car are the boosted guys with the S/C that have so much money that they don't really care if they blow the tranny because they'll just put another one in with the spare change in their pockets. Oh yeah, the guys that go for all show have a great time and enjoy the car too.

The 98-02 Accord V6's are a performance disaster. If you think that I'm the only one that was upset with the car and "complains" you need to open your eyes.

Sorry, but street racing doesn't mean jack here. Post up some slips if you want to prove something. The best 4th gen stock auto Maxima times here are around 15.6 and guys routinely hit upper-15's all stock. Best with just intake is a 15.1 which is nearly as good as your 2003.
