'96 SE 5spd is spitting codes right and left
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me diagnose the root cause of this.
Had the CEL come on two days ago, with the following codes:
0304 (Knock sensor)
0903 (EVAP canister vent control valve)
1005 (EGRC solenoid valve)
Reset it yesterday (no other way to get car out of diagnostic mode?) and the CEL came back on today, with the 3 codes above, plus
0302 (EGR system hi/low flow)
Prior to this (last week, actually), I had another CEL, which turned out to be an oxygen sensor, plus the knock sensor. I replaced the oxygen sensor, hoping the knock sensor wouldn't come back.
Further prior to this (about a month ago), I replaced the EGR solenoid, as it had thrown another CEL.
The first indicator of any problems occured last year in September, when 3 codes were thrown (ECTS, EGRC solenoid, knock sensor). I replaced the ECTS (and fixed random stalling upon warm-up), then EGRC code was thrown later on (subsequently replaced a month ago).
Worst of all, the car runs fine. I've put nothing but 91+ octane fuel since I bought the car last year. If I'm to be really picky, there is a slight knock at times (very mild), but other than that the car drives fine.
Any thoughts as to what I should fix / diagnose first? There's easily a small fortune to be spent if I was to replace everything.

You prolly need to clean out your EGR tube. There's lots of posts on here about how to do that. One recent I think. I'd start with that.
Doing so erased my 0302 code.

I tried getting to the EGR tube today, took over 2 hours and still didn't do it (those screws on the bottom are a real PITA!) I did see that it's clogged though, so I'm sure that's part of the root cause.
I'll try again tomorrow, and maybe take pics in the process, I was unable to find a comprehensive walkthrough for cleaning the EGR tube(s).
However, I was wondering... wouldn't simultaneous EGR & EVAP codes point to a vacuum problem? I'm not 100% sure (or even close to 100%), but they're fed by the same vacuum line (?) So then a problem with the valve for that line might be to blame for both.
