H3 HID (not h3c) in stock foglights?
I checked the stickes and tried to search but all I find are for sale threads.
I wanted to learn more about h3 HID kits for stock foglights. I just recently purchased a 6k HID kit for my headlights, and wanted to pair them up with some nice fogs 6k also. However I recall reading that the h3's do not fit in the stock fog lamps. But at the same time I have also heard of people using h3 fogs. So what needs to be done if they do fit? I want to buy a kit very soon and just wanted to know what I will need to do to make them fit properly? Would it be hard to get them to fit securely? Any information would be great, also links to previous threads if there are any would be nice.
Thx,
Matt

A standard H3 HID bulb will not fit into the fog light because of the bulb shield. The shield sits to close to the reflector housing which in turns causes the H3 HID bulb to hit the shield before it can sit flush. You can try and push the shield a little bit forward to allow it to fit. If you still can't make enough room, you will need to cut the bottom part of the shield that connects to the reflector housing. This will allow to you push the shield forward as much as needed so that the bulb can sit flush and secure. Have fun modding.
