i cracked a damn cam so i need one, and some 3.5 swap questions

WANTED TO BUY: yea well apparently the nose of the intake cam on the front cylinder head when i was doing my timing swap broke so i am in need of one. thanks. figured i would post this here since it would get more views.

couple of other things.....i have printed out many swap pages and have done much reading put have a few questions. as of right now i have everything completely removed.

1) can you use the cam caps that come on the 3.5 with the vias or do you need to use the 3.0 ones? i plan on using the 3.0 ones just seeing what people usually do?

2) the inner chain tensioners, can you use the 3.5 ones or do you need to use the 3.0 ones, because the actual piece is different but i believe they both end in the same spot. again just seeing what people have done.

3) does anyone have a picture of how to use the cam spacers? the exhaust side is pretty self-explanitory. but the intake has me confused. i am using stephen max spacers with re-positioned dowel pins. i am using the small screw side to go into the cam, which i believe is right and i may come off as being stupid, but i want to make sure i do this right.

4) the crank sprocket, again, will the 3.5 one work or do i need to use the 3.0 one? i dont have the 3.0 one off yet so i can compare them right now.

to anyone who has read this THANK YOU! i appreciate the help and i know how annoying these threads can be. i have searched as much as i can but to my dismay not much help has been found.

check ebay for cheap cams. Z cams will work as they are the same (unless there the rev up cams, but those will still work too but it might give a decent power increase)

1: Cam caps? not too sure what your refering too
2: you can use either but stick with the 3.5 one, thats one less piece to remove and take out
3:small screw in you just push it on, use a dremel and grinding stone around the screw a little if it wont sit in flush.
4: Use the 3.0 sprocket, the 3.5 will only work with the 3.5 timing chain which is very different from the 3.0

thanks bro. much appreciate. now i have some sort of direction. here are some pics of the things i just talked about.

the broken cam.

these are the cam caps that cover where the sprocket end is and the vias solenoid mounts on this.

3.0 inner tensioner on the left, 3.5 inner tensioner on the right.

oh and this pretty much sums things up.

ooooo and PS....ive been eyeing this diamond in the rough by my house at a used car dealership. hope to pick it up next week. 03 w/ 99k on it...6 speed black leather titanium package with the hlsd, heated seats and steering wheel, bose...every option besides the navi basically...they are asking 11.5k, i wanna talk em down to 10.5k. its all stock, but for some reason its got 01 tails and debadged, but hey looks better IMO.

The engine was sitting in my back yard through a harsh winter.
It was like night & day with degreaser/2400psi washer etc..
Compared to blast/Paint. see

Ah, okay, so it's painted, not just clean aluminum. I used degreaser on mine and a nylon brush. It's clean, but not that clean. I'm not really concerned with the lower part of the motor, but timing case and intake will be getting a polish.
