Pathfinder TB w/ 00VI, does not fit?

I am putting an 00VI on my supercharged 98 maxima. I almost have everything back together. I bought the adaptor plate Pathfinder t/b>>00VI from Stephen Max, I put that on and then tried to bolt the Pathfinder TB on, but it was hitting part of the VIAS stuff with the cruise control throttle cable holder. What have you guys done to get around this? I assume someone else has had this problem before. Do you have to take the cruise control off to make this work? Thanks for any advice.

I'm not entirely sure, but I have taken notice to the fact that, for whatever reason, almost every use of that throttlebody I have seen didn't have the cruise control part

It worked just fine on my US manifold and my MEVI, thats why I want to make sure there is not a way around it before I take the cruise stuff out of the car. If I can keep the cruise with little to no modification then that's the option I would like to go with.

You will have take off the CC plate to use the Pathy TB with Stephenmax plates and the 00VI. Once you take off the ear, you will have to grinde some of that shaft off so it doesnt hit. You will see what im talking about when you look at it.

I didn't use his plates, made up my own, so I'm not sure exactly which way his are oriented, but what I did was clock the TB a few degrees clockwise, then cut down the shaft and springs so that both cables (their brackets) sit closer to the body. Doing that gave me enough clearance to keep the CC. When I'm home later from work I'll see if I have any pics kicking around on the computer.

since I am not a machinist, I guess I will be taking the CC ear off. Hopefully I do not have to grind to much, I would like to start the car tomorrow.

*edit* How hard it is to take the ear off? If I take the nut off on the end of the thottle ear shaft will it just slide off?

It slides off with a spacer as well. Then just put the nut back on and tighten.

You may just have to take off the way end of that shaft so it will clear depending on your TB plates. I had to take just the end off to make it fit.

Matty, does he have the same type you have with the iacv mount? If so I was able to get that one to work with cc no problem after grinding the shaft and nut, also, if it is that type another spot where it will hit is the plastic nipple/elbow on the oovi firewall side down bottom. don't forget to port match.......

I took the ear off and did not have to grind on anything. So far it looks like it should fit like this. I am waiting on some couplings before I can start doing more work on it.

Oh, the intake neck is already port matched for the PF TB.
