Installing power seats in a nonpower Maxima

I have a 99SE that came with manual cloth seats. I've been thinking of upgrading to power leather seats. Would that be difficult to install? Is there a connector somewhere or would I need to splice into the some wires somewhere?

Also, is there a diff between the 95-96 leather seats to the 97-99 leather seats?

I believe that most 4th gens came wired for electric seats even if they didn't come with factory power... but someone will probably correct me on this one. Either seat would fit, however i believe the later years came with side airbags in the seat, so watch for that.

All 4th gen leather seats are exactly the same minus the 98-99s which came with side airbags in the driver and passenger seats. And yes, all 4th gens came prewired for power seats.

Cool. So I probably should stay away from 98-99. I'm assuming that 98-99 I30 also had the side airbags and should stay away from those too?

No need to "stay away from them" if you find some at a good deal. You just won't be able to hook up the airbags to function. They can simply go along for the ride with no problem.

I just picked up a 96SE leather interior. I also feel that the older seats are not as wide or as comfortable as the newer seats, in particular the 99. Anyone else thinks so?

Ok, I got all the seats in except for the driver's side. I have two connectors coming out of the floorboard, one I'm assuming is for the seatbelt and the other is for the power seat?
The seat I bought has three connectors. Is the third one for the heated seat option? Don't want to burn the car down
Also, do I need to do anything else? Check fuses for example?

maybe, a 96 seat would have been out 3 years longer than a 99, and be subjected to that much more butts than a 99. Dont know if the foam material inside is different or anything.
