Flush and Fill Radiator Kit

Wondering if anyone has used the Prestone flush and fill kit?

Trying to figure out which hose to connect it to... Maybe it's not worth it?

I used the Super Radiator Flush with the antifreeze/coolant tester. With the Super Radiator Flush, it takes a lil longer (took me a week), but worked out fine.

DO NOT USE IT. You'll put tap water into your cooling system in the process; and the point of flushing is to remove impurities, not add them. Tap water is loaded with minerals that create the kind of deposits you absolutely don't want. I find it insulting that antifreeze companies sell these kits, maybe they buy stock in water pumps every time they sell one and double their profits.

If you want a real flush, just drain/replace a couple of times and drive a little in between. You can use distilled water (get at grocery store) for your 'flush' phase. Once you get all distilled water in there, you can drain the radiator and fill with antifreeze and get around 50/50 when it's all done.

I remember the olden days when running the car w/garden hose in the radiator and **** open. That was "flushin'".

Werd. I just did this yesterday with the Toyota OEM coolant and some Water Wetter. I feel better knowing I did it the right way and used good products that cleaned out all the crap inside. Don't use this.

It wouldn't be okay to use the kit just for the flush portion?
You can drain and fill with distilled...

Running the car does a nice job of stirring up the remaining junk in the passages, at least the junk that could be removed by a flush operation. I don't see the point of introducing those minerals for any reason, IMHO. You have a pump in there driving the coolant around at a pretty good clip. "Flushing" is not going to make a difference.
