I have a bunch of questions...

1.)my kit number is 5124 for 70 hp. This is intended for cars with 3.1-4.0L engine. Did JC Whitney send me the wrong kit?
2.)What do I do if I squirt some when my car is off? Explain what to do like I am 5 yrs. old please
3.)Where is the best place to put the trigger button?
4.)When pressed, Do I hold it down or is it one push and it lasts 5 sec etc.?
5.)Is there any way to lower the hp level to be safe?
6.)Will I have to buy extra hoses or will the basic kit be enough?
7.)How much approximately will it cost to have it installed?
8.)How much and where for EGT and Fuel Pressure gauges?

Please help as much as you can. I don't want to blow my car up.

1. the 5124 kit is the same kit as the 5123. it just comes with a .036 jet for a bigger shot. how big of a shot do you want to run?
2. if you happen to hit the spray when the car is off, just let the car sit for awhile and it'll be ok. a few min is fine.
3. the trigger button is a full throtte switch, you should mount it to one of the bolts on top of the throttle body so that when the the throttle linkage is at full throttle, the switch is triggered.
4. nitrous flows as long as the system is armed and you have the car floored.
5. to lower the hp level, get some other jets. .034 for 60s shot, .032 for 50 shot.
6. the kit comes with all the hoses you need.
7. from what i've seen, shops charge anywhere from $75 to $200. just do it yourself, it's not hard.
8. EGT is about $200 and the Fuel Pressure gauge ranges from ~$100 to ~$200.

www.summitracing.com has the guages. Look through all of them and you can find some pretty good deals, and make sure you get electrical, not mechanical guages, they are much safer and easier to install, ie Fuel Pressure. You can also find a lot of other parts on thier website, like a push button switch, MSD Window switch, and NOS nozzles. The kit just comes with a cheap plastic switch to arm the system. I would recomend either getting another one to go with it, or replace it all together. Hit it a little too hard and it just snaps off... yes I speak from experience! The kit is not very hard to install, mostly just time consuming. Good luck!

Also if you plan to drag race I would recommend that you get the bottle heater and purge kit to maximize the potential of the NOS.

what about an rpm window switch. Are these supplied with the kits or are they extra. I would imagine it would be best to have both the wot switch on the tb and an rpm switch on the tach, so it doesnt activate until your set rpm level. Speaking of which my guess would be 3500 rpm on 6000 off. what do you think?

Well, I really do not want to blow my car up because I do not have any mechanical skills. I don't know. Should I try it? Will the 70 hp shot be fine on my car or should I buy the .034 jet? I am only a recreational user. I don't intend to use it on a track. How much will the other jet cost?

DONT start off with a 70 shot. Buy the 50 shot or .034, they are like $5.99 from www.summitracing.com Start off low and work your way up. As for the install, I would at least try installing as much as you can, then have a place finish up. It's really not hard at all, I installed mine off of downloaded instructions for a different kit... At least you may be able to save yourself a little money that way. Good luck.

Bet97se if you pit in a 100 shot, you better have guages, a larger capacity fuel pump, a buffed up tranny and a host of other things. That's ALOT of power to play with on a regular basis.
Theblue, a window switch allows you to tell the NOS system between which rpm limits you want to spray. Let's say you only want from 3200 to 6000 rpms, you can set it up that way. These are also known as 'pills'.

medicsonic I talked to a couple people and they were talking to me like a 100shot was nothing. I have a cousin that has a 100shot on a ford lightning with underdrive pulley, ecu chip, and supercharger and he tells me his truck is doing fine but he has the habit of blowing engines.

Don't start with a 70 shot? Go with 50? Do I have to doadditional mods to be safe with the 70?

With an intake and a Y-pipe, your going to start stretching the flow of your stock fuel pump with a 70 shot, you might even be at a 60 shot. I would not go over the 60 without a high flow fuel pump. Remember also, there is a bit of tuning involved, you will need to reduce the gap on your plugs, and check them for leaness and detonation. IMO, start low and work your way up, it's a lot less dangerous!

That is because it is a V8 with a rather large displacement. Bigger V8s can handle 100, 150 even 200 shot with relative ease. However, we have an average sized V6, and 100-150 is about the biggest you can get on them. If you have a little 1.6L I4, even 50 is alot.
