Will tires become harder to balance when they have a lot of miles on them?

My Pirellis have about 35000 on them and they still vibrate a bit. They are H rated.

Balancing used tires is done the same way as new tires. It is no more difficult, no less effective. There is a new kind of wheel balancer, the Hunter GSP 9700, which is distinctly better than all others. See http://www.gsp9700.com/ Try to find a shop which uses this machine.

My dealer has one and I will see them soon to have them balanced again(This will be balance number 3 in 2 months).

I was wondering if the tire starts to lose its shape if the tired starts to get into the high miles area. I don't know, maybe I am getting to deep into this thought.

This could happen if the tire has an internal defect such as tread ply separation. It could happen if you have a bad strut which causes abnormal tire wear called cupping.

Yes.

Yes.
Yeah, I don't see any physical damage but I will take it to the dealer from now on to let them do the job right and with out damaging the lip under my car.

You can try to true them. That is to have them shaved to make them closer to round. Just a thought.

I figure it's almost time for another set anyways.

Hey, it'll be nice to have some new tires on your car for the drive down to maxus.

They still have the legal tread depth and they are not vibrating terribly. I'd rather have new wheels to go with the new tires.
