My Fidanza flywheel is .008 too small and wont fit onto the crank. Anyone else have this problem?

 

I'll check mine out tonight/tomorrow. Where did you get yours? 3.0 or 3.5?

 

You have to heat it up and bang the **** out of it with a rubber mallet, allthough ".008 seems like quite the interference fit, but I never measured either of the two I installed, I just knew from reading the instruction sheet that they are a really tight fit and are designed this way.

 

That's surprising that yours doesn't fit yet mine slid on just fine. That big of machining difference from one part to the next is bizarre. I know that the CNCs we use at work are capable of holding half a thousandths tolerance so .008" seems excessive.

 

You lucky bastard, I loathe installing fidanza's.

 

Well at least im not alone. Took about 20min with some emery cloth but its on. Thanks
