RE: Maxima Manuals...

They should have a couple on eBay. All of the Maxima models from your year share a common manual.

RE: Maxima Manuals...

Try this: http://www.tmcpubl.com/Owners%20Manual.html. I don't know anything about this site, but I found it on a search and it seems to be what your looking for.

"Car manual" is ambiguous. There are two kinds of manuals: Owner's Manual and Service Manual. Which do you want?

You can order both from Nissan. Call 1(800)247-5321.

It should still be free for the '98s. Nissan had a program where they gave everyone still covered by the 3/36 warranty a free replacement manual.

Wierd that this topic came up at this time. I knew that you can order them for free and so I ordered them about 4 weeks ago. I did not get them. So I called them last week. Fortunately I got to talk to the same guy and he remembered me from the 2 weeeks earlier (surprise) and then he went on to say that this time he shipped them. I had asked for both the owners and the service manual and I only got the owners manual and that too USED. It is an Used Manual maybe from his or someone else's desk Why would they do such a thing? So, now the question is do I call 'em back and say that I got a used one or do I call 'em and thank them for sending the one they sent and then ask for the other remaining manual?

It's doubtful that Nissan/Dyment Distribution Services will send you a factory service manual for your car, for free. Those things go for over $100 when new.
