q45 retrofits??

i've seen many parts from q45's that seem (by looking at them) that they will fit pretty well in the 3rd gen with little or no modification.

I've seen the q45 spoiler trick (thanks 2legal4me) and saw the amount of modification he had to do....so i was looking at the trunk finisher piece also (where the license plate goes on some cars,) and thought maybe that would fit in place of our purposeless reflectometer crap thingy.

the back seats from the 1st gen q45 seem similar too and look much more comfy/funtional..

I think it's something like q45t fever any thoughts?

I don't think anyone has done any of the above. But nothing fits perfect.

with enough work you can make ANYTHING fit.

a "retrofit" i would assume is something that pretty much bolts in.
taking a spolier, cutting it to make it fit is not something i call a retrofit.

well whatever you wanna call it. what i mean is bolt-in with slight modifications lol....was just kinda fishing to see if anyone else had tried it/thought about it. and if they'd came up with any conclusions.

Umm...only you would think of something like that, Brian. While he's at it he can ''retrofit" the seats and steering wheel from one, too.

look at the headlights.
they look close in width to ours, the hood curve is similar. and you can get them with projectors and angel eyes.
headlight sample pic:

there are better ones out there. but they are an option.

well actually, that's thinking along the same path as i am.......those headlights definately wouldn't fit in perfectly, but would probably fit with just a little modification....but those actually seem angled too much for the max.

by looking at a stock truck they seem pretty close, but it has been a while since I looked closely.

Do you want me to measure them?

I have a 94 GMC diesel and a Maxima.

Someone else measure the Maxima, because I don't want to open the garage.

Edit --

stock GMC lights are appx. 3.5 inches tall by 12.5 inches long. The stock ones have a slight curve to the glass, but I think those funky projectors are more flat, at least the ones I have seen around here on pimped out Tahoes.

Wish someone would make a nice taillight kit of the max. I know totally off the subject, but it would be nice.

Altezza's =

Although using some night shades to just make them slightly darker wouldn't look bad in my opinion. I could just get 89-91 SE tails like TrippleG's, but I like having the light piece go all the way across... just darker. Anyway, what kind of tail light styles would you want Dizzl3?

i thought about completely modifying the tails to make them look redesigned and such, just haven't got around to it.
