My SES light turned on recently and the code came up as P0430 (Catalytic Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2). I searched a lot of threads and only found information on 5th gens. I have a 1999 Maxima Cali Spec. What does this code mean to the 4th gen and what are the potential fixes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

check the stickies in the 4th gen forum, you won't get much help unless you know how to dig first. ALL codes are in stickies.

 

1999 California Maxima has exhaust pre-cats, one for each bank. P0430 means the RH Bank 2 pre-cat (the one closest to the radiator) is not functioning correctly. It will probably need to be replaced.
