MPH....... 88.96

my second run: 9:56 P.M. 70 degrees

R/T........ .365
60'......... 2.411
330........ 6.621
1/8........ 10.081
MPH....... 70.52
1000...... 13.074
1/4........ 15.613
MPH....... 89.05

i cant say im up on the 5th Gen 00-01 stock times, but you could try looking in the timeslips database and see what you can come up with to compare times.

since its a new car, maybe check the ks, and check to see if your running correct spark plugs, of course run 93 octane. Then there is the VIAS check to make sure its activating.

Other than that with a bit more practice you might could lower the 60 foot a bit but still probably not looking at a 14.9x

do you have stock wheels or something aftermarket and larger ?

nice runs though !

work on your 60ft. 2.4 is not good by any means. If you can get it down to the 2.2 range you should be much closer to low 15's. perhaps 15.2.

Also check to make sure your VIAS is working, your traps seem low. use the search function at the top and check the FAQ it shows how to check VIAS operation.

You should be trapping at least 90 mph, no matter what your 60' is. Check your power valve. Chances are its not functioning. When I ran my dads 96 auto years back it went 15.7@87 basically stock.

lol theres no way in hell a basically stock 5th gen 5spd is gunna trap even close to 98-99mph. hes gunna need all the bolt ons to start trapping 99, because trapping 99 for maximas seems to be knockin on the doors of low 14's. seems maximas trap low compared to other cars out there.

sorry to say this, but 2.44 60's are not good. you are either launching to soft or spinning. you should be able to manage a 2.2x 60' with that auto, especially since you dont have that much torque to deal with. get some practice and try again.

to the OP: your 60's are also pretty high, with a low trap. tho 60' isnt terrible though and you can probly get it down without too much work. as for the trap, check your motor to make sure it is perfect since you ought to be trapping 90's, maybe 93.

You have little to no experience with VQ30DE/DEK 4AT's, so unless you can find in the database a timeslip to prove me wrong, I will continue to argue this point.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Unless you have experience with a particular vehicle/setup you should be a little more selective with what you post. My best 60' foot time with my stock '99 auto was a 2.3. 2.2 60' in a basically stock '01 auto (which is about 100+ pounds heavier at least) is IMPOSSIBLE with no weight reduction. Good 60' times aren't just about traction, they're also about torque. A stock auto 3.0 just doesn't have enough of the latter for sub 2.3 60'.

This is all anyway. The OP has a 5MT.

I would say low 15,s for a good driver with that car. The trap seems to be off! But by no means will he trap 98-99 with a stock car or with them mods. Work on your 60ft and check your vias. If that pans out and dont think your clutch is sliping check compression and knock sensor.
I trapped 100-101 with my N/A dek power 4th gen. But that was with a lighter car ,full exhaust, pulley, intake, spec stage 3 clutch, ypipe,eu with advanced timing and good 13.5 airfuel. witch put me in the high 13's low 14's
