Injector insulator? You mean o-ring leak??? If so, yes that can cause quite the bit of trouble as it allows way too much fuel to enter the combustion chamber. I don't want to answer too in depth untill we know exactly what you are refering to. :-)

He's talking about the rubber insulators that the injectors set into in the intake.

Mooze,iirc the only issue i've heard about reusing the original insulators is a raw gas smell.

I just turned mine over when i replaced my injectors.

also called injector gasket. i had one that didn't look to good and someone told me it shouldn't hurt that much but after install i have a leak and it sounds like thats where its at

when I replaced my injectors I didn't even take the fuel rail off, just poped the old injectors out and "gently" slide the new, well lubricated ones into place.

the insulators are cheap enough that they should be changed with the injectors if one thinks about it.

If the injector cushion is shrunk or cracked you will have a vacuum leak which be bad. NAPA also sells a kit.

good, now you know why I don't care too much about selling them.
no profit + not normally replaced = slow turn + headche.
