Hi,

Do the leather repair type kits really work like the say? I saw some before/after pics and seems too good to be true. Seems like 3months later it would look crappy again??? The website I was on says "no", it is a permanent fix. Any experience w/ leather cracks or other "repairs" that have gone well and/or best products to buy and where to get them?

I would say that they do work as long as it is done by a person who has done it before and knows what they are doing.

I just detailed a Cadillac CTS at my job and there was a tear on the drivers seat. It was in a spot that consisted of both leather and vinyl. We have a guy come in and do this type of stuff and I just stuck around and asked him a few questions and it's basically like bondo for leather.

After he finished it, it was like you wouldn't even notice that it was there unless you already knew about it. You could definitely feel a slight bump in the area, but visually, there was nothing.

Good and easy money if you know what you are doing.

Sorry to resurrect this, but I don't have 15 posts yet....
Has anyone had repairs to tears in their seats? What sort of money for the repair and how happy are you with it?
