I RECENTLY PURCHASED A PARTIAL PFI TURBO KIT FROM TURBOMAX97 AND THE TRANSACTION WAS NOT SMOOTH AT ALL!
the ad. for the turbo kit mention pay-pal fees at all, but yet seller requested that i pay an extra 2.5% for pay pal fees and i did. the seller gives me the nismo 555 injectors for 300.00 instead of 400. because im getting the kit. i request that the seller gives me a shipping quote so that i could send the total payment in full. seller qoutes me a shipping price of 140.00. so i send the seller 3,542.00. after i send seller the money in full seller sends me a another shipping quote with a 206.62 balance as well as tracking #'s which means that it was already send out. not one time did the seller contact me to explain the higher price before shipping item to verify if would be willing to purchase still.
to add even more insult to the situation unlike the add stated it is not a complete kit. well right off the top there is no battery relocation kit, i need to purchase a oil drain fitting and gaskets. now to add on to thatwhen i recieved the product i was disgusted with the method of packing. the majority of the items sent were thrown loosely into a very large box this iclued the turbo, injectors, exhaust piping minus like 1 piece, intercooler couplings, and piping as well as fmu. only the fmu, and injectors were improperly wrapped in pop plastic and thrown in the box. the intercooler came in a box by itself, and was damaged prior to shipment, along with having oil residue inside of it. exhaust piping severely scarred and bent w/ noticeable exhaust leaks, air filter is bent very bad in two locations. there is a bolt broken off on a piece of exhaust piping that has to get cut off, intercooler piping bent, scarred up, pieces of paint missing and peeling of in chuncks for unknown reasons.

if anything i should request money back for recieveing damaged goods, not to mention the fact that i piad the amount requested in full + paypal fees.


SELLER ALSO STATES THAT HE GETS TO WATCH ME PURCHASE OTHER ITEMS WHILE HE STILL HASNT RECIEVED HIS "MONEY" FROM ME. WELL THE ONLY COMPLETE PURCHASE THAT I MADE SINCE THE TRANS ACTION WITH HIM WAS BUYING A SS CLUTCH CABLE FOR 25.00 FROM THE GROUP DEAL SECTION. BEING THAT TURBOMAX97 IS SO INTERESTED IN MYPOSTS ON THE ORG HE SHOULD KNOW THAT SHOWING INTEREST IN AN ITEM IS NOT THE SAME AS PURCHASING AN ITEM! MYOB

 

Living in colorado and being on forums for here, I heard quite a bit of horror stories from them(PFI). While he should have told you about the damage, the way piping is ran, you will always lose ground clearance which is were the scratching is found. Im sure you could get some money back as the kit wasnt as described.

 

Damn. Surely doesn't sound like the kit that he initially had up in that thread. I was actually considering this kit but wanted to focus on another car first.

Have you spoken to him since you received the package? Because nowhere in those posts shown above does he indicate half of that damage.

 

yes i did contact him and it was before i recieved the package. i was under the impression that he got a messed up quote from the ups directly, so i felt bad and tried to as much as i could to correct the situation but my funds were over extended at that point. but after finding out differnetly i realized that i was taken advantage of. there are plenty of turbo kits for sale on the org that i can buy with more options for a lower price. but w/ the pics that i recieved along with the pfi quality i figured that i couldnt loose. seller should have been more up front with the quality of product being purchased and also should have let me know before the product was shipped out that there were going to be extra expenses or even when giving the qoute he should have stated the it was not an accurate qoute. i am at a point were i refuse to send any more than i already have. the way i see it is if seller messed up on the quote oh well, he also gave me deceptive pics stating that it was an over all pic of the kit which you can see is a lie. and right now i am out of 3542.00 which i can see that seller is not tring to refund me either!
