14.06@97.02 in 5.5gen

so my car is pretty much "stock" when it comes to performance: stillen "race" headers, and HKS rear-section exhaust. and ive been racin my max for a lil over a year now, and i went from runnin high 15's(when i bought it) to flirting with 13's! im pretty sure if the weather was not 80+ degrees, and i was runnin drag radials and/or slicks i would easily be runnin 13's! im runnin general exclaim uhp tires at about 14lbs, burn the $**t out of them in the box, and launch at 2250rpm(factory limit). i run 1/4 tank of gas, no back seat, no spare tire/jack, and trunk floor etc...

very first pass ever(completly stock and full interior/gas tank): 28 july 2006
r/t= .423
60'= 2.751
330'= 7.200
1/8= 10.654
mph= 71.98
1000'= 13.531
1/4= 15.889
mph= unregistered

personal best (current setup(in signature)): 14 july 2007
r/t= .006(best ever(not including -.001))
60= 2.007(best ever)
1/8= 8.991(best ever)
mph= 77.72(best ever)
1000'= 11.737(best ever)
1/4= 14.067(best ever)
mph= 97.02(4th best)

Nice times. Have you ever dyno'd your car with the current setup. Just curious about your HP numbers with the Stillen headers. Past history would indicate that that Stillen headers are far inferior to Hotshot or Cattman. Something to consider if you are looking to squeeze the most power out of your Maxima.

i dyno'd when it was completly stock(and minor tranny problems) and i came up with 202whp and 217wtq. the stillen headers are "dyno proven 19hp+ and 14tq+" but i hav not dyno'd it yet with the setup!

I dont see how stillens crap headers and a muffler are going to drop nearly 2 seconds. That 1st run is a joke with a 2.7 60' time. Nice pass now though.

yes the first run was a joke, it was my first time at the track ever! and the first run was at Pacific Raceways (formerly Seattle International Raceway). and the other is at Bremerton(WA) Raceway. the tracks are very different, Pcific actually has a slight hump in the middle of the track, where Bremerton is all drop-off!

its not really a 2 second drop from the headers, its a combination of driver improvement(learning how to drive car and react to lights), and mods. my best run completly stock was 14.66@94.xx w/ 2.119 60'

nice times man!! very nice 60ft with the VQ35. If more people could cut 60fts like that on street tires, i think wed see ALOT more mid to low 14 second maximas.

It's not hard to believe. There is another 4AT on here that did a low 14 (14.1 IIRC) with only a catback/custom intake.

you're really negative. even better times have been run in 5.5 gen autos, long before you were around.

Nice times! I was just curious if you have any transmission mods done? Do you disconnect the transmission resistor or anything? I was just curious because I'm going to the track soon.
