Screws of head unit?

Recently I've removed the BOSE head unit to repair. Unfortunately, I stripped the screws. They are in bad shape now. I won't re-use such screws.

I am wondering where I can get such screws? Does anybody know the spec of such screws, such as thread size and length?

Just take the existing ones that you've stripped and go down to your local parts/ harware store and look at their screw sections...
many types ( from wood screws to self taping screws..)..
unfortunately, I don't know the "specs" of the screw..
however, to save yourself a trip, how bad are the old screws? at worst, just use a dremel to cut a "slit" into the top of the old philips head screw and voila, converted to flat head screws..

*** Edit: Which screws are you talking about.. the radio (exterior) ones or the small small ones holding the unit itself together?

Sorry, forgot to clearify that the screws I mentioned about are the eight screws locking the HU on metal mounting brackets.

By the way, the reason I asked for spec is, local HW stores usually carry only "coarse thread" screws, which are 32TPI. But these screws look like "fine thread" 36TPI to me. Thus, it's better to know the exact spec of such screws to get exactly same screws.

Hmm, I'll have to take a look at the spare HU I have at home later tonight and get back to you on that..

If I am not mistaken, the screws you are talking about should be black/dark brown, philips head ( + hole for screwdriver) and has a "lip" that goes around the base of the head of the screw right?

Lots of stores also don't carry metric...the problem I've run into before. I don't think anybody on here will know the exact specs of such screws but if it's a screw that's used on other parts of the car, you might be able to have someone parting a car out mail you some.

I'd just go to the hardware store and try to find the closest thing...depending on what material you're screwing into, how coarse the threads are might not matter..
