Y-Pipe's Crush Gaskets

Is there any tips to replacing the Crush gaskets that go between the exhaust manifolds and y pipe. I'm going to replace them soon, but I couldn't remove the old gaskets last time i tried. I have a Warpspeed Y and got OEM crush gasket from the dealership.
Thanks.

Flat head screw driver or a small needle nose plier.

I've seen ones that had to be chiseled out, they came out in weird chunks, really thin shards of metal, and the majority just disentigrated. Only once though, normally they pop right out with a screwdriver, I think that's what everyone is giving you advice for. Use a hammer and something sharp, and have fun

Go to walmart and buy a 5 dollar pick set over by the screwdrivers. they are made by stanley, they are pretty much what the dentist uses on you that makes you not want to go. i think it is a set of 4 they are black and yellow. i use them everytime i replace these gaskets. if that does not work you are going to have to get your best medium size flat head and a hammer and let it know who is boss.

doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to remove the gasket.
can you not look at it and think of how to remove it???? like, everyone said, pry it out w/ something flat like a flathead or some sorts

have you maybe tried calling them and ask???

its a simple crush ring, should cost around $4-5 dollars varying by dealerships. and yes, they should work w/ the WS, just get the right sizes.

Well I tried with a screwdriver and a couple other chisel shaped stuff and only ended up putting kinks in the crush gasket, granted I didn't try to hard because I figured the crush gaskets would still be fine. Although now I think I have a leak there so I'm going to go back in and fix it.

The crush gaskets were like 5-6 dollars from the dealership.
