Im lovin my new rims...any thoughts.

Im desperately in need of a drop now, have springs hopefully gonna swingthe struts next weekend and finally drop it the week after. Bought them from a local org member nad got them for an incredible price with the tires which arent so great but will do till I get new tires.

[IMG][/IMG]
They need some cleaning up but dont mnd especially since the price was very nice. I didnt have a floorjack on hand so I took them to a tire shop to have them put on and even after making numerous mentions to him about making sure the rotation was correct as you can see in pic the right rear is wrong....against the direction. I actually didnt notice it till about an hour later when I took the pics but its been fixed since then. Thanks for looking.

the beige and black rims doesnt do it for me...

those honestly would look best on a black car. just get a nice silver one. i like the deep dish on the max. and $20 for some clear corners.

Lol at the clear corners....I still dont know why I havent bought them yet. Actually the guy I bought them from went to a silver colored BBS 20" and they looked very nice bu still.in the end I love the black. The only notion I did hear from someone that i thought might be kinda funky was to color match the body color and leave the polish lip. I dunno, was gonna photochop something up later but I suck and it will take me too long but still I wonder if it would grow on me? But we do agree on the deep dish.

I am amused at this, I sometimes think I am the only one that wastes his breath when HAVING to goto a shop for something and they screw up exactly what you explain...in detail. Its like Nice rims though, will look better once you do some more (drop, etc) and clean her up.

Tinting your windows like 15 percent would have them match much better and I think the combo would look really nice. Clean car

Lol...yea 9 outta 10 times I woulda just put them on myself but at my shop we dont really have any floor jacks and the one I did have was crap so I took it around the corner to get them put on and this is what I get. Maybe if I didnt say anything they woulda got it right.

Yea tint is also needed. I never really planned on doing much to the car other than some basic(I/Y/E) but never really thought about doing cosmetic mods other than a drop but everyone told me to wait to drop till after I got the rims so I did but now I look like Im ready for a rally race

I was wondering about the offset myself.....I wonder does it look weird cause of the tire size? They are 245's on there now, should i go smaller? I dunno, gonna wait for the drop so I have less distance(lol) to see the gap.

How would you know? The picture isn't a very clear indication, any flush shots? People on these boards are just to used to sunken battleship wheels, afraid to go flush, no offense

I actually dont know either bro...I never really was into aftermarket rims before so the whole offset thing gets me rightnow. I'll take som flush shots and see what ya think cause the front look pretty flush but the rears seem to be sunk in a bit..I dunno, tomorrow I'll take some front/rear angle shots and see what think.

I owned an s13 before my max, I know a little bit about flushness bud, that was a tired post, so I GUESS it looks a little weird

Lets see YOUR wheels bud, what, afraid of a little rubbing

Anyways, you will need a spacer for the rear to make it flush, just how 4th gens are, roll your fenders and about 10-15mm should do it...

How hard is to understand that it isn't the best angle to judge that, my goodness he specifically said, and I quote...

Internet pics<<<<<Real car

Lets see some pics then, I bet they aren't flush to my standards, or s-chassis standards in general

polished lip on a black rim

have the lip painted black too, and it won't look too bad.

Honestly I was thinking about that too. I just thought the polish broke up the black enought to look to contrast to the car. My neighbor said I should leave the rim black and colr match the lip to the car...dunno.

Good to hear, thought it was the photo, take some more pics anyways man!

Quite honestly, I dont think the lip is the problem, that black just doesn't look right on that color car, If I were you I would leave the lip alone and repaint the center, color matching would be badass, but silver would look great as well...

Use wheel paint and it would probably cost you under 30-40 to do, remember, its all about the prep work

no man, dont do that...then you'll just have 'invisible' black rims and no contrasting....just polish the lips up using some chrome polish and lots of elbow grease (or a mother's polishing ball) first and then decide on anything else. dont forget to polish the black portion of the rims as well.

r. My neighbor said I should leave the rim black and colr match the lip to the car...dunno.
dude, i deff. dont recommend doing that at all...anytime someone paints their rims to match the car, its not the lip but the center of the rim. and quite honestly, that gold color doesnt lend itself to being the color of the rim itself.... if you absolutely must paint those rims in some way or fashion, leave the lips alone and paint the rims 'gun-metal' (silver/grey) or give them a fresh coat of black (if for any reason your current black is faded or something.)

remember, keep it clean, keep it elegant.... dont get too creative.

Lol I hear. Im pretty much set on leaving the rims as is now. I was playing around with photoshop and didnt like any of the other combinations. Just gonna freshen them all up. And yea the black is a bit faded on one of the rims, not bad but I might as well clean thm up. I think once Im dropped it will look much better. Theres a guy Poowill on here with sick blck rims on a pebble biege(or reall close, seen little pic in sig) but his car was one of the reasons I fell in love with the black rims in te 1st place.
