I cant remember which way was up.. i always thought the closer the windings means its towards the up part when installing.

I always thought there was a "UPPER" word printed on most of them. But my maxspeed didn't it has the word maxspeed on them. Then i remember one of my friends mention a while back eibach's only print the word and you install them with the word upside down. Both sides of the spring fit very nicely in to the bottom of the shock so i really dont know.

 

As a very general rule, Original quality springs have the logos printed right-side-up when installed, and knockoffs were up-side-down.

Anyways, look for a thread with images of suspension parts, couple of them have pictures and diagrams that you'll need. Otherwise, wait till this afternoon when I can take pics of my setup and post for u. good luck.
