Pics Of My Totaled 540i.
the headlights are obviously damaged...especially the drivers side one...
but i'm sure some desperate 4th genner will still ****** them up and scurry away with them into a dark ally as quickly as possible.....

What happened was I was sitting at a complete stop, with a Jeep Wrangler in front of me, and a Cavalier behind me. Some doctor in new Dodge Dakota was doing 45 MPH and wasn't looking, and slammed into the Cavalier. He didn't even touch the brake. The Cavalier then hit me, and pushed me into the back of the Wrangler. It wasn't a hard slam for me, it just kinda felt like fast, smooth acceleration, like a Whooosh. The airbags didn't even deploy. Everyone was ok, the lady in the Cavalier got a nice gash on her leg, and was a bit shaken up, but other than that, not a scratch on anyone. Funnt thing is, the guy that hit her in the Dakota was a Doctor, and the guy in front of the Wrangler was a Cop that just got off work! It worked out pretty well. Just waiting to see what Insurance is going to be doing. I will most likely be fixing the 540i myself at my shop, which will save $5-6K and also be an opportunity for the M-Tech Bumpers as well as some bolt-ons.
The plans are: I'm going to be fixing the car myself over time at my shop. It will probably take awhile, cause I have lots of other work to do, but I'll slowly make some progress at it. I decided to go with the M-Tech bumpers, black M5 grills, black/carbon fiber BMW roundels, and I'm going to be painting the roof black.

I say the rest will probably be enough contrast to keep it interesting...

Now if only there was an insurance agent somewhere in the mix...
On the way home today traffic was backed up like crazy. I am on the highway and see a accident on the left with 3 fire trucks and police cars. I drive by very slow and see a BRAND new 750LI smashed. There was a 3 car pileup with the 750LI in the back with the front end smashed. It mad me sad.
I don't think the damage is bad at all. A crumpled hood, grille, broken headlight tabs, and some other minor stuff. The rear is also bent up, but can be fixed. $11k and deemed totaled only because the damn parts are so expensive. If that was a Maxima, it'd be a fixer.
please tell me you are buying that car back from the insurance company!!, you can fix that easily just by buying the parts on ebay you wont spend more than $2k (tops) to fix the damage on this car.
edti: ^ thats if you still owe any money on the car. if not, is 70% profit!
