I was curious if 18 inch rims without new springs would look ugly? Anyone have pics or even this setup? How much more a tire gap would it look like?
I have the stock 16 alloys on now.

The BMW X5 is an SUV with 18" wheels looks good.

The Nissan Maxima SUV with 18" wheels should look good.

Yes, they're FUGLY. Only because the low profile tire is smaller than the wheel gap. Ever since I had my car dropped I look at other stock wheel gaps all the time. The wheel wells on the 5th gen Maxima are so huge! 17s you can get away with. But when you go 18 and up, you just gotta get a drop.

I don't have a picture before I took a drop... I think it was a 1 1/2 week period. But I can tell you it WAS VERY FUGLY!

medic: from that pic, it looks like the 4th gen has a larger wheel gap than the 5th gen My 5th gen isn't lowered and has the same 17's.... Anyhow, your car looks great lowered with those wheels.

I have a lower profile tire 45 instead of 50, and I'm noticing that Pirelli's sidewalls appear to be smaller given the same size as opposed to others.
