FS: 96 se 5sp, 00VI in MA
FS: 96 se 5sp, 00VI, $2500/bo (MA)
Back on the market - the local buyer backed out!
I'm selling my maroon 96 se 5 sp. The car is my daily driver and has been for 3.5 years. Before that, my older sister was the original owner and she was pretty easy on it. It has about 150k miles at this point, and some of the typical issues that come with many 4th gens at this point. It will need a water pump relatively soon, and the clutch probably won't last forever (its original but still grabs pretty hard and never slips so OK for now). Other than that the maintenance has been kept up with (tune up stuff, KS, FF, plugs, etc).
The 00VI conversion was done in may of 06 by me (i'm a pretty hands-on ME and I took my time and did it right with port matching etc). It has had no issues or codes since, and it performs flawlessly. I'm not a hotshoe but I did manage a best ET of 14.6 and best trap of 96 mph up at epping one of the 3 times i went. It definitely has more in it with some A/F tuning ( i have an safc2 I can sell separately, its not installed, negotiable). I used the 4th gen lower and injectors so the tune is pretty much stock and it runs great as is.
Has some supporting mods too - budget y, custom 2.5 to 3" catback with dynomax muffler, short ram intake with effective heat shield.
Just passed MA inspection for the 2nd year in a row after the 00VI conversion, so no issues there (it has functional EGR).
Stock suspension except for KYB gr2's in back and a progress RSB. ALso has lightweight I30 BBS rims on all 4 corners. Car has some sneaky WR done to it (full interior but things like 95 aluminum bumper swap and sound insulation under carpet etc) and weight is down to 2800 lbs with low fuel (verified on scale). My track times are from before most of the WR so it may be a bit quicker now.
Body is good, no visible major flaws or anything. The rear wing is not installed but I still have it. Rides a little on the high side from 200 lbs of WR but not too extreme.
$2500 is my price, which is discounted for the maintenance items I mentioned above. PM me for pics.

Here ya go w/the pics...
Could use a good wash and wax, but otherwise pretty straight and clean. Fender gap is bigger than normal up front b/c tires are a little short at 225-50 15s.

Speaking of winter driving, I've got my mind set on a fox-body 5.0 as my next vehicle... shopping for winter tire packages as we speak... wish me luck. -- So i'm going to pass on the 240, but thanks.

Update - currently has no sound system installed, but I will include the following components:
- stock am/fm cassette
- kenwood front speakers
- kenwood flip-face head unit w/cd player (not working but maybe can be fixed?)
Negotiable: kenwood 10-disc cd changer w/trunk mount bracket (was thinking of $50, they sell for $90+ on ebay).
