I need to buy one, maybe two, stock 17" Bridgestone Potenza RE92.
Tirerack has them for $155 each.

One of my tires got it sidewall cut so I need to replace it soon.

Any other place I can get them cheaper?

Thanks.

On the net, I found Tirerack the cheapest. I found out some local merchants (in DC metro) matched Tirerack's prices, however they get you with add-ons: mounting, insurance, etc, etc.

do you have a 'discount tires' near you? my cousin got some 235/40/17 kumhos for only $70 and they are pretty decent tires.

If your in the Florida area try www.goodroads.net. They also have a wholesale division. I got my Nittos for around 10.00 less each than tirerack or discounttire. Their customer service is 1st rate also.....

probably gonna get ridiculed for this...

but i had the same situation, sidewall cut. couldn't patch. but i really didn't want the re92 again. so i bought 2 yokohama avs intermediates @ $95 each. mounted them on the drive wheels, and moved the remaining stocks to the rear. works great. i don't know what this setup's doing to my drivetrain, mileage.... but i haven't had any problems at all. much more traction tho, and noticeably better cornering.

best thing is, with the yokos' soft tread, they're wearing out at about the same time as the two stock tires in the back. so i get to replace all of them at once to some bfg's i just ordered. it's not for everyone, but it was the perfect interim solution for me. plus, save a $100 from the crappy potenzas.
