I found a geat deal on some older, but new Infinity Reference spekaers - 6x9 (6913i) and 6.5" (612i). Any opinions on these or the Reference line in general? I recently installed a new HU and have been searching for speakers as well. I don't have lots of cash to throuw down on them, and these will fit right in my budget. Thanks.

Infinity reference speakers are very good for the price. However I recommend spending a little extra money and get Infinity Kappa's, sound a lot better than the reference for a little more money...I Infinity Kappa 62.1i 6.5 inchers, and the 60.2cs component system. Check out www.crutchfield.com they are on sale. They sound AWESOME...

Thanks for the advice. I agree the Kappa's seem to be a much more "complete" speaker than the Reference. I checked out Crutchfields sale, but for what I'm paying for these speakers (<$100 for all four), I think I'll go ahead and try them. I'll post my opinion when they come in.
