Yes, I know I'm crazy... but we all know that Maxima owners fear nothing!!!
Raced this guy a few times. First run I was not ready and he killed me.
Second run I got a good launch by 1/2 car, but after that, it was over.
Third run he sat at my rear bumper, so he gave me a 1 car lenght head start. In 2 blocks, he beat me by 1 car lenght.
He was pretty cool. He told me that I was faster then the Type-S guys he raced
Considering his car costs 3 time as much as the Max, I think I didn't do too bad.
We can admit our loses... not like some people... no names mentioned... cough.. t-y-p-e.. cough.. s cough.. guys cough..

2001SE,

Agreed
Won't catch me trying that again until I have either the laughing gas or the S/C installed
Or if Kev is around to back me up

I wish you had a 5spd with you mods. That would have been a close race from the sounds of it.

Mercedes doesnt know how to use their engines??? You need to first drive one before you can knock them. Benz's are big cars but they can still handle and their brakes are WAY better than anything found on our Maximas

damn straight... My boss has an S500, everytime I drive it I am more and more amazed at how amazing the handling, braking, noise etc is... You should expect that from an 80 grand car though, I guess.. But the ****tier model Benzes are still awsome..

Mercedes does not know how to use their engines hahaha that must be a joke. New CL 600 V12 does 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, quarter mile elapses at 13.7secs equal to the E55. When under light load, it shuts down the left bank of cylinders and runs as an inline six all this with "around" 400lbft of torque and a 4,000+ pound body!!!!!If a super charged max can better this numbers then
