what is the max HP that anybody has seen from a y-pipe. I want to get 20HP once I add it and think this is reasonable becuse the intake + cat-back will multiply the effect. anybody agree?

not gonna happen, keep dreaming, if you get 20 at the crank you are doing good, 20 at the wheels is dreaming.

I think 10-12 FWHP is the norm.

Expect about 8-9 fwhp, but a very nice kick in torque. A Y-pipe with intake and catback usually gives 12-14 fwhp and about 15-18fwtq, atleast with the dynos I've seen.

The Y pipe seems to make a bigger difference on the 4th gens than the 5th gens if that makes you feel better. I dont think you will see 20 fwhp though.

show me a certified dyno with the ONLY difference is y-pipe. 30hp is just not possible. i'm sure you've never fibbed to us before.

He might have gained 30FWHP with the Y_pipe if he was spraying a 100shot? No way whould you get 30 FWHP if you are NA.

ya there is no way at all, even with a 100shot that is hard to believe, maybe with a 3" pipe.

Interesting, 765 HP. And you are doing this which WHAT clutch? Your bluff is called. Oh, and use a more believable font for the 1997 Maxima GXE next time.

How do like not having that resonator in there? Does your intake sound a lot deeper? Mine did. By saying "tweaked" it means that I've deleted the resonator, installed a custom fabbed heatshield around the filter, and I'm still running the lower stock intake box with all my "Poorman's" intake piping to keep as much air around the intake in an attempt to keep it cool and well fed.

I think my sig is rather misleading. I've actually gone to the track and made 5 passes with my UDP. Unfortunately, the weather was in the upper 80s with some nasty humidity. I made a couple 15.0@93mph passes which is about .15 seconds faster than I've run under similiar conditions. I think once it's cools back down to the 60s (like when I've run my 14.7s), I'll post a best et.

i love it. once it hits 3grand it sounds like a cold air intake very deep. plus on the freeway it when i keep it in the upper range it just constantly moans. i bought the chrome honeycomb filter holder w/ a red element, so it looks pretty nice.

ok but did you read his reply, it said it wasn't his best time but it was better than before under the same conditions and he would run again when it's colder and get a better time.
