Dear all,

I'm looking to buy a Altima SE(94 -95) or a Maxima SE(94 -93) which one is faster???

And is the 2.4 Liter of an Altima (same as 240SX) is more or less bulet proof than a V6 of a SE 93?

Get the Max.....

I drove my friends Alty the other day....its alright but no Max as far as speed/torque and power goes! ever since I got my VG, if your car doesn't have decent torque it's trash!(no offese Alty guys)

as for the reliabiilty of the 92-94 SEs...Dmontzmax is at 200,000+ miles and still modding his car out, these are good engines and will last if treated right!

if you get a 92-94 max se 5spd you will not be dissappointed...modded alty's are damn quick but the VE's would be no match...

I would point out that you should do some research on an expensive and irritating problem common to 92-94 SE engines called the VTC sprockets. They aren't a major problem but they do make an annoying racket if they are failing. For a 4 cyl. the alty's is a good one. I had a stanza for a while with the same engine and it always impressed me with the torqiness of the four potter, however I could never give up the...

OK so that mean that's it's happening to almost or all the SE V6 24 Valve 4 Cam engine!

I saw that some people have pay up to 1200$ USD to 400 USD, but how can I know if mind will do it soon...I know that your supposed to hear a kind of bad lifter sound when it's cold, but is this problem is growing fast? If it's alright now can it start to go bad in 5000 Mile or it will be linear and I will hear it more and more ....?

Which engine can stand the NOS (50 to 70 HP) better, Altima or Maxima SE??? (Manual both)
