Has anyone seen the clear noseguards/ bras available from 3M or other manufacturers? Any pics or experiences with these?

Check your current car...

On my Max, the are very small pieces of clear adhesive immediately behind the lower portion of the rear passenger doors. I am sure this is the same material as the chip guards available for your hood.

It's patented by 3M, and the stuff is quite impressive. It WILL protect against some pretty large rocks. It's saved the front of my Audi a few times already.
Unfortunately, it's pretty expensive. If you go to http://www.clearmask.com, you will see that you can buy the kit and ATTEMPT self-installation. I had it professionally installed, and believe me, you do not want to try it yourself. Because the film is thick and strong, it will take 2-3 guys to install one hood piece.
I highly recommend it, it's much better than a bra, and less troublesome as well.

If you ckeck out....

http://205.238.176.128/paint/nissan.html

you will see this company has some premade kits for Maxima's (they are the 3M material). They have 2 kits for the 2K, one for the front bumper and one for the hood and mirrors. They ALSO has a kit for the lights too. I am VERY interested in what I see. I saw this application on JimW's A6 at the Max meet at Robert Moses Park this summer, and it really was impressive. Would like to attempt to do a self install, but it may be more involved than it might seem. Can anybody say "GROUP DEAL"??!!??

Well I'll be dammed....This is something i need to order now =P

Group Deal it and I'm in unless I find out the manufacturer...then heh maybe i'll do it on my own. =P

-Peace
Group deal me in on it also, MY black bumper is speckeld white already, Nissan Paint is terrible. I'll drive to Champs, im like 30-45 min away.

Anyway? Once that is on, can you wash your car? How bout waxing it? What can you do/can't you do once it is on. I just want the front bumper kit that i saw on that site, i could care less bout the hood.

group deal

It sounds interesting, though $280 seems pricey...

Does anybody have a picture of how the film looks on the car. Curious to see how invisible it is.

from more than about 10 ft away, it's unnoticeable. That's why it's hard to sell. People don't want to spend money on something that they can hardly see.
No, it's not made by Nissan either, it's patented by 3M so you won't be able to find it elsewhere.
Yes, you wash and wax it just as you would your paint, and it does react much the same way your paint would.
In the pics I have of my car (taken from about 10 ft, you can't see anything)
Even though it's pricey, it's worth it. I have 9500 miles on my car, and the only 2 rock marks on the car happened before I got the film installed.
