How much do injectors cost on the 4th generation? Are they different prices depending on which one goes out?

Parts price questions may be answered by consulting the on-line catalogs of Web vendors. PartsAmerica.Com lists Beck Arnley #155-0186 remanufactured fuel injector for $85 plus s/h plus $13 core charge (deposit). This same part may be available at a comparable price from a local parts supplier such as Advance Auto.

Please double-check your need for a replacement injector. These seldom fail on the 4Gen engine.

 

My boss has a 96 I30 out of warranty and it had three injectors go out on him. According to the dealer it was the cause of his check engine light and sluggish performance. I am not sure I beleive the dealer, but my boss isn't all THAT mechanically inclined either.

$800 later it was fixed--included tire roation/balance and an oil change--seems like a deal, right?
