Dude I was SUPER SUPER ****ed... THE ONLY reason I broke that bolt and stripped the other was because I kept saying.. no noo he wouldnt send me the wrong part.. no no.. freakin JERK.. what an uprofessional job that was... took 3 weeks to get the pully.. OH did i mention it didn't take 3 weeks to charge my credit card AND I have 2 wrong belts.. AND now I am carless untill I get that bolt from Dave B.. who is very cool i might add...

I do not recomend buying anything from ultimate z...

I'll e-mail him asking him about the belts tomorrow.... One of the belts was the exact same as the stock belt and the other one might have been the right one, but I don't know... The mechanic decided not to risk it and got me some gates belts....

Hmmmmm . . . .

I wondered about using OEM belts with a UDP. After all, the belts used with the UDP couldn't be the same size as the OEM belts. And it wouldn't make sense for Nissan to manufacture belts that were the wrong size. So it struck me that you'd have to use aftermarket belts with a UDP. Perhaps I should have said something. But I'd already mentioned some other concerns I had about the deal in the Group Deals forum and my comments weren't too well received, at which point I headed for the exit.

For what it's worth, there wasn't anything I liked about Coz's "group" deal, and I'm glad I didn't have anything to do with it. For my money, I'll stick with Greg, Phuong and Paul.

Good luck to everyone who got involved. I sincerely hope it works out OK for all of you.

sup

you know I wasn't going to say anything, but ya know... Coz's group deal was a horrible horrible expierence... ya know.. I wait 3 weeks for a pulley I paid for the day I ordered it. When I get It I and I notice the belts don't fit I call Coz.. I say.. "is Coz there?" he sais, "nope is there something I can help ya with".. So I go on about how these belts are made from nissan..?? and he sais well.. looking at this chart they should be fine.. he kept muttering something about a 95... a 95.. i dunno he said he was closing in 12 min.. so... HA.. Well I can tell you this.. I'll only make that mistake once...I don't care if I have to pay 50 bucks more for a stupid freakin car part.. for the service, "knowledge", I'll pay a lil more for it next time. go straight to the source.. not like I got a deal on it anyways.. 200 bucks..

No, I live in Toronto but I know Aaron who lives in Rochester. I got the UDP shipped to him b/c if I had it shipped here it would've cost more & I would have had to worry about customs & duties ... where r u?

Alternator & Water Pump belt should be a 6-rib, 408mm length (ie K060408)

Power Steering should be a 4-rib and 292mm length (ie K040292 or K040300)

What size belts were sent?

HAHAHA YOU THINK YOU GOT IT BAD??

HA.. I wish I never ever ever got that fu***** thing from him.. I am so livid about this right now.. MY CAR IS OUT OF COMMISION AGAIN... I had to overnight the long nut that the long eye bolt has to go into to adjust the front pulleys...AGAIN with no car.. I then HAD to use a lil urban engineering and make a long bolt for the rear adjuster BECAUSE the other one got bent(that is the only bolt I could not get overnighted). WHY did it get bent you ask.. BECAUSE COZ sent me the wrong belts.. SO I loosened.. and tightened about 10 times.. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG... SOOOOO MADDDDDDDDDD...

For what it's worth, I got my UDP from Courtesy along with the belts in a package buy. The Belts are the correct size. Perhaps someone should post the correct sizes for future reference.

I just called UltimateZ and Coz is away on vacation until Monday. This explains why nobody has heard from him. Hopefully he will kindly resolve all of our problems on Monday or Tuesday. The guy who answered the phone said he had trouble getting all the UDP and he said that they just recieved a few more so I guess mine will come soon. I don't mind waiting but I do like to know whats going on..

you are supposed to take the portion of the belt in the middle of the two pulleys and then press down on it... I don't know the specs off-hand though....

Right. I notice the belts you have pictured on your website are aftermarket belts. So here's the big question, Kev. Does Nissan manufacture belts in those sizes or do you have to purchase aftermarket belts when you install a UDP?

I don't know if Nissan manufactures belts in those sizes, so I went the aftermarket route (the UDP instructions listed part numbers so I couldn't have gone wrong).

Thanks, Kev. I guess we'll have to wait to hear back from Coz about the belts. He'll have a lot of explaining to do if it turns out that Nissan does not manufacture belts in the correct sizes for use with the UDP.

well, the power steering belt was the exact same part number as the stock belt. The other one looked like it was slightly smaller, but I decided not to take any chances and told the guy who installed mine to get some Gates belts that were recommended by UR.

The Gates belts were hard to get on already... I can't imagine trying to put on even smaller belts.

For the person that posted squeeking problems and for the guys that haven't received their pulley yet - use sandpaper and sand down the inner portion of the UR pulley. The pulley is anodized, making it a little more difficult for the belt to sometimes get enough friction. The rougher texture will prevent the belt from slipping.

Hm...I haven't really check the belts for my UDP, I bought it from Coz as well. I have a buyer that want to buy the UDP from me. How can I tell if I have the right size belt, is there a part number on them? The UPD is still in the box, so I haven't check it yet. If they're the wrong size, maybe I could just send it back for a refund? Since I have no need for it.

Well, since I got the UPD in my room. I checked the belts out.

These are the two belts that I got and their part number:

Part #: 11920-53J20(6 ribs)
Part #: A172M-26E0BVW(4 ribs)

Right or wrong belts?
