I have had horrible knocking and pinging under hard accleration, climbing steep hills, etc. I have been using QuikTrip Premium 93 and put in some Redline Fuel System Cleaner with no luck.

you may have some bad ignition coils.... I would get it checked out at the dealer... or maybe you can try a different brand of gas

 

I have defintely seen an improvement in my other vehicle.

I wouldn't use a fuel system cleaner. They can damage fuel injectors and cause other problems down the road. It's most likely a finicky coil, I think Y2kse or Kev had something similar.

 

Thanks for the advice. I have started using Amoco Ultimate 93 and I have heard Chevron with the Techroline is good stuff. I am still within the bumper to bumper for the dealer and the coil.

 

I made several trips to the dealer and was able to determine which of the ignition coils was bad.
I since then replaces the bad coil (about 6 weeks ago) and haven't experienced the problem since.
