I just got back from Jack Ingram Nissan here in Monkeytown. I drove the white Altima 2.5SL that I posted about earlier.

Looks very good. The taillights and headlights are much better in person than in pictures. This thing looks nice from every angle.

Inside, also looks good. The shapes and ergonomics and design are very good. The materials feel cheeep cheeep cheeep though. The plastic is hard and shiny, all the parts feel like they might break off in your hand. Nissan really skimped on the materials. If you see one, just fold down the rear armrest and look at that cheap a$$ trim under there.

The seats are very comfy and much more supportive than mine. I'm not sure if I like the orange guages with red needles.

The 4 cylinder has very good power and nice low end torque. It zooms right up to 80 so smooth you get surprised by how fast youre going. When you floor it, it has a very nice growl and you can hear the variable valve timing kick in hard at about 5000 rpm.

Handling is very light and tossable. It feels much more secure and connected with the IRS (I hate the beam even more now). Good brakes too.

Overall very nice car with a cheap feeling interior. If I could get the right deal on a V6 5spd...I'd jump right on it.

oh well, my 2 cents.

Thanks for the review! So the car feels fast even in the 4-cyl trim? And it handles better than the Maxima?
