buying a pre-supercharged max?

theres a 98 max with 40k miles for sale near me at a dealership thats supercharged... i didnt get to look at it so i dont know what else it has, i just read the newspaper. I'd get it but theres obviously no warrenty... so how do you tell if was beat on all day and its a disaster in the making?

Get a mechanic from somwhere else to take a look over it. Take it for a hard hard *** test drive and if it gives it's not good. But mainly take it to a non parcal mechanic. Spend the 100 bucks it's worth it.

I would hesitate to buy any limited production or in this case, a limited modification on a car. Most of the people buying(i repeat most) drive the car hard or you don't know if they even follow a regular maintaince schedule. So, take it to a mechanic, make sure the supercharger and the engine is in sound shape. And little things like belts and things can show how well the car was maintained.

make sure it is in REALLY GOOD shape before buying it.
