I was chillin with Toylet today comparing cars and noticed something about his car that I didn't have...
When I closed his door the lights started dimming before turning off... While in the 2k's, they just turn off and on.. Did they decide to make the 2001s with analog interior lighting or did I just imagine all of this???
Those of you with 2001 Maximas, when you close your doors, do your interior lights dim before turning off?

Is the dimmer feature available as a mod? I'd buy one. I'd guess you'd have to rewire the dome light.

Yes I went to Rosenthal Nissan in Gaithersburg and they do have remote roll down. They had it in the 98Maximas also because I had that car also before I got the 2000. They keep messing with us, I mean had it in 98, got rid of it in 2000-2001, and back again in 2002.

I was today at a Nissan delaer....and they had like 15 2002 maximas. none of them had the fuel cover

Major difference

I have a 2K Maxima and my interior light dims before it turns off. Could I just have a later build? I do have the fuel filler...

On the real, what if we could but the window roll down feature on the 2k 2k1 models. maybe Dave B knows something. Something else I was thinking about today is why all this talk of 260 hp and then it turns out to be 255 hp. Could it be that they didn't do what they did to the AE to give it 5hp more.

What they did to the AE was the same as what they did to the I30. It has something to do with the exhaust...I guess they're doing the same for the I35 to justify the price some..

LOL....my 93Maxima has the dimmer, so does my moms 2k1 Altima GXE. My max even has the door keypad, and YES...I can open the windows(and sunroof if I had one) and unlock the trunk.
