Im goin to be buying some Polar-G hyper white 194's this weekend for my gauges. So i wanted to find out a few things before i do so.

1) do they get too hot for the gauges?
2) have they effected the gauges at all?
3) any other problems with them?

thanks for your info guys!

I have a couple of hyperwhites in my gauges. Two to be exact. Not Polarg-G's though. I put them in and got too lazy to undo my cluster to put the rest in.

When you put the blue condom cover over the hyperwhites, it shines a blue color. Not too dark and not too light either. It's definately not as blue as the LEDs and it's not too light so that it looks .

Hehehe. I don't know how it would look if I took the blue condom covers off though. Still too lazy to take out my cluster. And my cluster still works fine. Nothing melted.

(I'm gonna order some red LEDs next week. I'll let you know when they get in and I'll go down to DPA.)

I have the PIAA Superplasma 5W... huge difference in brightness... no problem with the increase wattage.

Re: i got superwhites

ny96maxse did put LEDs in. Those pics that I posted were of his car. But then the LEDs fizzled out on him.

I'm going to get some red LEDs though. Hopefully I'll get lucky and the ones I get won't fizzle out on me.
