pulled in the Max to begin the Motor/Tranny Swap. We're swapping in a built VQ30DE motor, and putting in a different turbo. Hopefully it will be done in 1 week. so far we've dropped the turbo, valvebody, drained all fluids and removed the bumper. Still gotta locate an LSD trans, if cant find one in time, i guess im gonna have to order a brand new one....

why dont u get the tranny out of an I30 the diff between their's and ours is that they have LSD and ours don't

 

for the tranny, call Cris at Jamie's Auto Dismantling, in Fresno, CA, Phone # is 559-233-4674, I bought my trany through him for a 99se, the one I got only had 1,500 miles on it....it's not lsd, but there were a bunch of those too...

 

he is going for a 5spd LSD.

thanks guys, ill try to do updates but i havent really done much so far. Today had to work on another Max so thats another day wasted. Hopefully do some work tomorrow.
