Lowering your car so much is a bad idea. Don't do it. You will have bad handling and a bad ride.

HELP ME... lowering car

Hello:

Actually, the Ground Control coilovers will run you about $1000 if you get everything -- springs, threaded perches, struts, bottom mount camber bolts, bushings, etc...

My car is about 2 inches lower than stock... that is low enough... I once had it almost 3 inches lower than stock with the coilovers... It was a rather uncomfortable ride since my struts were then becoming a large percentage of the roll resistance...

Cosmetically, I think 2" lower than stock leaves a decent wheel well gap... Throw in some nice wheels and you're all set...

Actually, I am all the way down on my GC coil-overs with stock struts, and my camber was barely out of spec. They told me that it really wasn't worth the money to have it re-aligned, but I did anyway so they could adjust my toe-in where I wanted it. My ride is still acceptable, unless you hit a big pothole. On the interstate, its pretty smooth. Body roll is almost non-existant, and it handles like a bad-a**! I only paid $320 for them on the group deal, and MSRP is $400. If oyu want to go lower then that, you're gonna have to go with the Cattman coil-overs. They are a true coil-over racing set-up, complete with adjustable camber and adjustable strut stiffness all around. They go lower then the GC's. They run about $1400.

Do you want to feel every bump on the road. Thats too much homie. The most ive seen on my friends is about two inches, just be sure you get some good shocks.
