removing 3M tape

i'm reinstalling my front lip. i have to remove all the old 3M tape. any suggestions on how to get this sticky mess off?

I had to do the same thing. I used a heat gun and a dremel with a rotarty grind wheel to take it off. I then sanded the left over and voila!

I use the Adhesive & Gum remover from Pep Boys...it works like a charm...also WD-40 works as well...
