Guaging Interest!! On polished, stainless steel diamond mesh, valance.

I'm currently designing a new option to grill enhancement. This part is for the valance and fog openings. This will be polished stainless steel with color optional borders. The grill will fit the 97-99 models. I'm a machinist and am using my car as a template, so I do not offer this for others. Possibly in the future I will. I will use s/s steel only because it will last indefinately, unlike aluminum! I'm in the beginning stages, particularly for my own automotive interests. However I think others will like this product. This is not a mesh, wired to a grill or just dropped deeply behind the bumper cover. This will recess into the openings and look very apparent/attractive from all viewing angles. Well, just checking to see if people are interested! Also, at this point I can not give pricing because I have not accumulated production costs!

Nice photoChop!. I'ts going to be some time before I venture into customs as it will take your car and some time for custom fitting. If,if people realy like this and time allows, I'll be doing others. Once I pre-fit a certain car and set up production jigs, things will flow.

This is the plan, my car goes in for paint next week, @ the end of next week I instal my body kit. Then I finish fitting grills. I have the proto-types cut, polished and rough fit. once body kit is instaled, give me a couple hours to finsh grill inst. Then I'll post pics. on and off the car!

Front Grill

How about making a front grill for 97-99 without the nissan emblem in the front (not as shiny as Trenz grill)? Just a thought...

This product will be a valance and fog grills for now. It will be stainless steel only, alumminum's cheap! My mesh lowers will be much more affordable than trenz and something different.

I hope to have pics in a couple of weeks as my max is going to be painted next week. Once I get my car back I will finish fitting grills. I've loosely placed them in there and took a look. Unless my taste s*cks I beleive their a seller! Also one of the best copliments to this grill is that they ultimately look better and replace costly OEM, broken fogs. These at this point will not work over stock fogs but can be easily be custom fitted over aftermarket lighting and WILL look totally trick!

Hypothetically speaking,

With your skills, it is possible to make a very thick black mesh grill for a black max? I don't want to put any emblems on the front grill. I just want it to be black, and thick enough so that you can't see the hood latch. LLTech makes this type of grill for audi/vw.
Would this be possible to make?

Did I describe it well enough. I don't like the trendz grill but a nice black plain grill would look nice on a black max.

MY 95 only has 55K miles on it, and is goin' az strong as joO !!!!!

95 Max's, are the lightest,sexiest,FASTEST max's out there

BTW, I am interested in that black grille as well as the others, too !.

But you should make em for 95-96 first, after all we are the pioneers of the 4th gen design.

It will be some time before I venture into grills as these are just for the lower valance and fog openings. Your idea of hiding the hood lock hardware is A must. The reason, I beleive, is that so much light enters that space. I think that thicker with small voids are key.

If you have a conversion that changes the stock lower bumper openings, this my not work for you. This is fitted for a tight fit to the stock bmpr. cover.

Will it be possible, from your design to have that lower valance be made out of some black rubber or at least powdercoated black? I'm sure I could buy a trndz and powdercoat it, but this way might be cheaper or possibly look better?

Do you have a lip? If so does it fit inside the opening like the Stillen lip? This makes a difference.

At this point, they will only be polished/grained. This can easily be painted. This valance comes as a flat fit/finished prod. with a 3M pressure sensative channel for the border (Assorted colors). I can ship the grill with intension of being painted and include the border for you to instal.

The grill will require that you drill 3-4 small holes in the cover, toward the back (way out of sight) of the cover. This is for the valance.

Things will fade on this topic for a bit, til I get my ride back from the paint shop. It will take me a day (maybe) to finish and post pics. I'll have my car back, for final fit on 10/5.
